How Omar grew as a businessman and as a trader

Hi, I’m Omar, and I want to tell you how and why I started trading on Binomo. When I first had an idea to start trading, I was a 40-year-old entrepreneur building my business in Casablanca, Morocco. I was actually working in renewable energy, but I had always been interested in finance and investing. I had dabbled in the stock market before but had never really taken it seriously. But I wouldn’t be myself if I didn’t explore this opportunity now that the business was basically running itself, and I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into something new. 

I was fascinated by the complexity of financial markets and how Binomo allowed me to trade on so many assets: stocks, currencies, commodities, you name it. I knew nothing about renewable energy just a few years prior to that moment and had a successful business up and running. And in the same way, I wanted to challenge myself to learn something new and explore my potential for financial growth through trading.

How trading helped Annika move into a dream apartment

At first, I spent the majority of my time learning and practicing through the broker’s educational resources, and my other job took a back seat. You don’t have to do it, it was my conscious decision to dive deep into my new activity. As I felt more comfortable and started placing my first trades, I found that entrepreneurship and trading complemented each other in many ways. For instance, my knowledge of the renewable energy sector helped me understand the impact of global events on the markets. And the other way around – trading improved my business skills, particularly in risk management. 

One of the most important lessons I learned was about emotional control. Without it, it wouldn’t be a success story. I’m not the kind of person to give in to fear or panic, but I can get blindsided by greed and carried away by the potential for big profits. And just like I did my best to manage overconfidence and reckless decision-making for my business, I did the same here. 

Here is where I am so far: I’ve grown my portfolio on Binomo, and I’m thinking of getting into mentoring. I still take quite an active approach to trading, but I feel that I need a new exciting project to keep me on my toes.
