Hey, it’s Putri, a 29-year-old graphic designer that graduated from Multimedia University in Cyberjaya a few years ago. If you’d ask me about my plans for the future (at the time of graduation), I’d be very excited to tell you about my fully remote internship at the famous Panasonic Corporation of North America. Everything seemed perfect on paper – I was creating and developing general web graphics and content for a massive brand, and it would look awesome on my portfolio. But! I was an unpaid intern, struggling to make ends meet.
I didn’t want to take on another job and sacrifice the time I needed to build my career. At the same time, I knew I needed to find a way to earn some extra money. The search for extra income led me to Binomo, and I decided to give it a try. Unsurprisingly, I was feeling anxious about trading because I didn’t want to lose the small amount I had on unsuccessful trades.
I started going through the blog articles and trading materials on the website and then added other resources and videos to get me into the groove. My first trade was a small one, just to test the waters. Here is what I discovered about myself: I had a particular talent for forecasting the behavior of cryptocurrencies, and I focused my attention on that area. Perhaps I didn’t “predict” the prices, but my forecasts mostly turned out to be correct. I started trading more and more, slowly moving into other markets to diversify, and soon I was earning enough money to cover my living expenses and then some.
Before I knew it, trading had become an additional source of income for me. I was earning a significant amount of money, and I was doing it all from the comfort of my own home. By the time my internship ended, I had the freedom to focus on my career as a graphic designer without the constant financial stress.
Now, a few years later, I can confidently say I made the right pivot. And the best part? I can continue trading while also working full-time as a graphic designer.
